Bacterial Vaginosis Symptoms

This is different from Bacterial Vaginosis Symptoms which are a result of several different bacteria that live in the vaginal area that can become unbalanced and grow causing a milky or yellow discharge, fish odor and itching; this is generally the result in the disruption of the normal bacterial flora in the vagina.

Bacterial Vaginosis is not related nor is the same as a yeast infections, so don’t confuse these two conditions. Each has a different method of treatment and only your doctor can tell you for sure what condition you have.

 

Trichomonas Vaginalis Symptoms

Another vaginal infection woman deal with is Trichomoniasis which is an infection caused by a single-celled protozoan parasite called Trichomonas Vaginalis. For women the infection is usually in the vagina and for men it occurs in the urethra. This parasite is transmitted sexual intercourse or vulva to vulva contact with an infected partner.

Studies have shown that about 50% of women and about 90% of men have no symptoms, for those that do women will experience frothy yellow green vaginal discharge with strong odor and can cause discomfort during intercourse and urination. A women can also experience irritation, itching and in rare cases abdominal pain.

For men that show symptoms they may experience irritation inside of the penis, slight burning sensation when urinating or ejaculation and a mild discharge.

With so many over the counter solutions available today, many people are under the assumption that they can go to their nearest pharmacy and by a product to relieve their symptoms. Before this can occur you need to know what it is that afflicts you.
